Harrods appoints chief retail officer
Harrods has promoted Mark Blundell to the position of chief retail officer.
Blundell joined the retailer in 2018 as head of retail projects and retail services and was subsequently promoted to retail director. He previously held leadership roles at John Lewis Partnership and Waitrose after starting his career as a graduate with Barclays.
Michael Ward, managing director of Harrods, said: “I am pleased to promote Mark to join the Harrods management executive committee.
“Mark is a dynamic leader with a proven track record in managing teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences and strong commercial results.

Harrods’ announcement follows the appointment of Sarah Myler as chief brand and reputation officer in August, a role that has also seen her join the management executive committee.
Myler has been with Harrods since 2018, serving as a director and, most recently, overseeing international marketing strategy, global business development, communications, and events.
In her new position, she heads up the retailer’s marketing and communications strategy, overseeing all marketing channels, and acting as guardian of the Harrods brand.
Other members of the committee, which reports to Ward, include Andreas Efstathiou, chief information officer; Abi Weeks, chief people officer; Caitlin Innes, chief digital, customer and strategy officer; Geoff Weaver, chief financial officer and James Healy, director of store operations.
