Study on the payment habits of consumers in Western Europe!

Consumer habits and behaviours are changing very rapidly. They are more connected than ever and can move from an online store to a physical store during their purchase.

Although the impact of COVID-19 has caused many businesses to close, the physical store remains the preferred place of purchase for consumers. Because of this, merchants and companies from different sectors around the world have had to adapt their infrastructure and integrate technologies in stores to accept new payment methods, including through smartphones or other smart devices.

According to the Juniper Research study, the total number of merchants implementing Software Point of Sale (SoftPOS) solutions will exceed 34.5 million globally in the next five years, up from 6 million in 2022.

The following survey seeks to analyse the payment habits of consumers in Spain, Portugal, UK, France, Italy and Belgium.
