Victorian Plumbing to invest in new distribution centre

Bathroom retailer Victorian Plumbing is to open a new 544,000 square foot distribution centre in Lancashire as it looks ahead to future expansion.

Situated close to the retailer’s existing operations, the site is expected to be completed in autumn 2023 and become fully operational after a period of dual running with current sites to ensure a smooth transition.

Victorian Plumbing said the move will not only support growth, but will also enable it to consolidate a number of its existing sites, although some facilities will be retained for adjacent category expansion. The retailer will invest in fitting out the centre during its current and next financial year.

Mark Radcliffe, founder and chief executive officer of Victorian Plumbing, said: “This new facility represents another exciting milestone for the business, providing us with capacity to manage growth in the long-term while further establishing Victorian Plumbing’s position as the No. 1 bathroom retailer in the UK. I am also delighted that this new facility will create additional jobs and further support our investment in the local area.”
