Gaggenau opens flagship stores in London, Taipei and Brussels

Professional grade home appliance brand Gaggenau has opened new flagship stores in London, Taipei and Brussels.

Overlooking Portman Square in Marylebone, the London store is the brand’s largest in Europe. It is situated in the 1929 Orchard Court building, which housed the French Section of Churchill’s Special Operations Executive during the Second World War.

Designed by Munich-based architecture studio 1zu33, the interiors draw inspiration from the different layers of London, reflecting the capital’s heritage, architecture and English kitchen traditions.

Gaggenau appliances are integrated throughout a series of kitchen and living spaces, with selected products displayed as sculptural objects. The store also features hospitality areas and spaces for culinary experiences, including a chef’s table for live cooking demonstrations. These will also be used also for design talks, events and exhibitions.

Simon Plumbridge, head of Gaggenau UK & Ireland, said: “The new London flagship is a significant step forward for Gaggenau in the UK.

“We have increased the scale of our presence and moved to Portman Square, an area that is fast becoming increasingly important for design and interiors in London.

“We are extremely proud to be part of shaping this. The new space gives us the opportunity to bring our customers, professional partners and the wider creative community together in one place.”

In Taipei, Gaggenau has opened a new flagship store in the Xinyi District, while in Brussels, the brand has relocated in the historic Royal Depot at Tour & Taxis.

Peter Goetz, managing director of Gaggenau, said: “With the opening of Gaggenau London, Taipei and Brussels, we are strengthening our presence in three important international markets.

“Each location reflects the character of its city while supporting the continued growth of Gaggenau. These investments are an important part of bringing our brand, products and expertise closer to our customers and professional partners around the world.”
