Dobbies names new chief financial officer

Dobbies has appointed Pete Templeton as its new chief financial officer.

He has joined the garden centre chain from Boohoo Group where he was group finance director. Prior to that, he held senior roles at Manchester Airport Group, Clearwater and PwC.

Templeton is succeeding Jonathan Wass who will be leaving Dobbies on 12 November after making the decision to step down a number of months ago to spend less time away from home.

David Robinson, chief executive of Dobbies, said: “Pete brings a wealth of senior retail and financial expertise that will complement our existing executive team.

“We’ve had strong growth in the year-to-date, delivering positive results through our strategy plan, and Pete will play a key role in driving momentum into 2026 and beyond.”

He added:  “We’d like to thank Jonathan for his hard work and commitment during his time at Dobbies. He’s had a pivotal role to play in the growth of the business this year and we wish him all the best for the future.”
