Charlies Stores to expand into Cheltenham

Family-owned retailer Charlies Stores is to open a new store in Cheltenham on a former Homebase site.

Situated on Tewkesbury Road, the store will be transformed into a one-stop shop offering a range of home, garden, leisure, and outdoor living products. Brands stocked will include the likes of Stihl, Barbour, Le Chameau, Ariat, Le Creuset and many more.

Established in 1986 with two small army surplus stores in mid-Wales, Charlies Stores has since grown into a regional brand with eight successful stores and an online shop distributing across the UK.

In the last five years, the business has delivered growth of 78% with turnover reaching £85 million.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Charlies Stores managing director Becky Lloyd (pictured) said: “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing Charlies to Cheltenham. We’re passionate about creating a shopping experience that’s welcoming, helpful and full of great products for everyday life. “This expansion is a significant step for us, and we hope this new location becomes a favourite for locals.”

The Cheltenham store will open in October.
