Boots launches biggest ever woman’s healthcare campaign

Boots has launched ‘Our Health Is As Individual As We Are’ to champion women’s health and highlight new support available from the retailer.

‘Our Health Is As Individual As We Are’ will run for six weeks and will be supported by key assets released across TV, out-of-home, print, social media, in-store activations and online.

The wide-ranging campaign is expected to reach an estimated 11.8 million women across the UK and will target women of all ages going through different stages of their lives.

New research commissioned by Boots shows:

  • 82% of women believe there is better understanding in key areas of women’s health today compared to five years ago
  • 55% feel more empowered to talk about their health as a result
  • 75% think there is better awareness of issues surrounding either fertility or pregnancy
  • 61% think there is better awareness of menopause
  • 46% believe there is better awareness of periods.

As part of this campaign Boots has expanded its Price Advantage scheme to include a wide range of women’s health products.

The retailer is hoping to expand awareness of the various healthcare services available in store and online. This includes over 15 dedicated women’s healthcare services like the Boots Online Doctor Menopause and HRT Treatment service, which has seen a 235% increase in treated orders in the last year.

The Boots Health Hub has also been enhanced to make it easier for customers to navigate healthcare information, advice, products and services, organised by healthcare conditions.

Boots has also launched new training modules for its 4,500 pharmacists that provide information on four key areas of women’s health: periods, fertility, pregnancy and menopause.

The training will help pharmacists to have meaningful conversations with women about their health, including providing advice and suggesting products or services which may be suitable for them.

Claire Nevinson, Superintendent Pharmacist at Boots, said: “At Boots, we are taking an active part in that conversation and provide our customers great value products and services that they can conveniently access online and in our stores.”
