The Very Group appoints chief data officer

The Very Group has appointed Steve Pimblett as its chief data officer.

Pimblett previously worked with Wejo where he held the dual role of chief data officer and chief information officer. Prior to that, he was chief data officer at Betsson Group and general manager of data at Moneysupermarket.com.

In his new position, he will report to The Very Group’s chief technology officer Andy Burton and will be responsible for “all things data” including strategy, science, analytics and engineering.

Burton said: “Steve is an outstanding leader with real technical know-how. His experience will let us further build our data capabilities to give our customers the best, most relevant experiences and help us make even faster, better decisions.”
