Royal Mail, Post Office and eBay team up to support small retailers with top ten tips

Royal Mail, Post Office and eBay have teamed up to share ten tips to support small retailers and budding marketplace sellers who are increasingly selling and shipping more goods online during the covid-19 crisis.

The organisations have also highlighted how selling through marketplaces has become more popular during lockdown as retailers who cannot currently open their shops use them to sell their goods. In addition, marketplaces are increasingly being used by suppliers  to capture new markets.

The tips have been compiled in response to customers’ most frequently asked questions.

Rob Hattrell, vice president of eBay UK, explained: “At eBay, we recognise that the challenges are vast and wide-ranging for SME’s on Britain’s high streets, but while the offline world is on lockdown, a shift to online spending presents a real growth opportunity and a vital lifeline. We hope these ten tips empower sellers to operate confidently – and most importantly, safely – online, throughout the crisis.”
