ProCook commits to paying the Real Living Wage

ProCook has committed to paying at least the Real Living Wage to all staff as part of its ongoing investment in its people.

The cookware retailer’s base rate of £12 per hour will be offered as a minimum to all employees, regardless of age. London staff will receive a higher rate of £13.15 per hour.

The increase is ahead of both inflation and the government’s 2024 national living wage of £11.44.

ProCook chief executive Lee Tappenden said: “The market-leading service ProCook customers receive is entirely delivered by our incredible colleagues in our retail stores and our store support centre. We believe in rewarding our people fairly and treating them respectfully, so they are happy and motivated in their work each day.

“As a B Corp, we continue to prioritise our people, and our commitment to the Living Wage Foundation aligns with our value of doing the right thing for our customers and our colleagues, as well as helping us deliver on our business strategy by setting us apart as one of the best employers in the sector.”

ProCook has also increased its annual leave allowance for all colleagues up to a maximum of 30 days.
