Moss Bros issues profit warning

Sales performance will leave trading profit ‘materially lower’ than last year.

Total sales have increased 1.0 per cent, with like for like sales down 1.4 per cent for the 49 weeks to 6 January 2007. This compares to total sales up 1.4 per cent and like for like sales down 0.7 per cent for the first 26 weeks. Moss Bros said it would continue with its planned refurbishment strategy despite the tough trading conditions.
