Kick Game signs for Liverpool ONE as Kenji upsizes

Luxury footwear brand Kick Game has signed for a new 3,500 square foot store on Liverpool ONE’s South John Street.

Due to open in July, the shop will be the retailer’s first in Liverpool following openings in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds. Offering exclusive sneaker and streetwear collections, its brands will include the likes of  Nike, Adidas, Supreme and Off-White.

Alicia Thompson, chief executive of Kick Game, said:  “Liverpool is increasingly becoming an urban hub for streetwear fashion and hype sneakers, which made it a key location for us to extend the reach of our brand. We are hugely excited to be moving onto South John Street at Liverpool ONE, and look forward to opening our doors in a few months time, introducing our exclusive selection of luxury sneakers and streetwear to a new Liverpool audience.”

In further news, the Kenji Japanese-inspired homeware retailer will be upsizing its store at Liverpool ONE by 40%.

Stocking products designed in the North West of England, Kenji’s larger store will be one of the first to feature its arcade-like claw machines. It will also introduce the brand’s new ‘makers section’ where small business owners and local Liverpool creatives will be able to sell and feature their products.

Alison Clegg, managing director, asset management at Grosvenor, said: “We are proud that renowned fashion labels such as Kick Game continue to choose Liverpool ONE as a key location within their expansion journeys. This signing, combined with the upsizing of Kenji, reiterates Liverpool ONE as a long-term destination for brands to put down roots. Both retailers contribute to the destination’s varied and vibrant offering, which we are constantly adapting to mirror the evolution of consumer demand.”

Other recent retail openings at Liverpool ONE include Timothy Oulton, Russell & Bromley and EE.
