John Lewis appoints director of merchandising
John Lewis has appointed Anna Milne as director of merchandising.
With nearly 20 years’ experience in retail, Milne has an extensive knowledge of the fashion industry after working in merchandising positions at House of Fraser, ASOS, Jules B and The Outnet.
In her most recent role, she served as merchandising director for luxury lifestyle retailers Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter.
In her new position, she will report to Vikki Kavanagh, chief commercial officer at the John Lewis Partnership, and will join the John Lewis management board. She is set to begin her new role on 17 November.
Kavanagh said: “Anna will be a fantastic addition to our team, bringing a wealth of experience to the role, and her leadership will be crucial for ensuring that our shops are fully stocked with a fantastic assortment of inspiring products.”
Milne said: “Having grown up in Newcastle with John Lewis as a cornerstone of the high street, this feels like a full circle moment. I am delighted to take on this role within a partnership that places people and community at its heart while delivering commercial excellence.”
