eBay promotes Eve Williams to role of general manager for the UK

eBay has promoted Eve Williams to the position of vice president, general manager of its UK business.

Williams joined eBay in December 2020 as UK chief marketing officer and has since overseen a number of high profile campaigns and the introduction of a new brand platform, The eBay Way.

Prior to joining the business, she spent seven years as global brand director at ASOS where she was responsible for the company’s marketing and customer programmes, as well as creative strategy, content planning, consumer communications and social media. She was also previously managing director of  Cedar Communications where she worked with brands such as British Airways, Tesco, O2, TUI and Nikon.

Williams has succeeded Murray Lambell who  has now been promoted to the position of global general manager of eBay’s home, garden and refurbished categories. He will based at the company’s European headquarters in Bern, Switzerland.

Jordan Sweetnam, senior vice president for global markets at eBay, said; “I am delighted to announce Eve’s well deserved promotion to lead our UK business, representing our second largest global market. She is the ideal candidate for the job, bringing a wealth of cross-functional experience to the UK leadership role, including as UK CMO where she transformed the way we understand and engage British customers.”
