Wingstop UK expands leadership team

Wingstop UK has made two  new appointments to its leadership team as it continues its expansion.

Diego Martinho has joined the chicken chain as head of delivery, taking full ownership of its delivery channels, spanning aggregator partnerships, direct-to-consumer delivery, and click & collect In his new role, he will focus on elevating the customer experience and driving innovation across digital touchpoints.

He previously served as head of account management at the Stuart last-mile delivery platform and has also held roles at TikTok and TripAdvisor.

Meanwhile, Nathan Smith has been appointed senior construction manager at Wingstop UK. He will oversee the rollout of new restaurant openings, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Smith brings extensive experience from previous roles leading construction projects at Starbucks and Morrisons, as well as serving as senior design project manager at The Parklane Group.

Faye Ryder-Humphries, people director at Wingstop UK said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Nathan and Diego to the Wingstop UK team.

“Their talent, experience, and passion for excellence will be game-changing as we continue to grow.

“It’s exciting to see our leadership team expand with people who share our commitment to bold flavour, outstanding customer experiences, and creating opportunities for our incredible teams.”

The senior hires come as Wingstop UK plans to open a further 14 sites this year.
