Waitrose Cookery School to run baby weaning classes

The Waitrose Cookery School is expanding its range of virtual classes to include baby weaning.

The classes will aim to help, guide and support new parents as they navigate the journey from milk to solids for their babies.

With help from Waitrose nutritionist Dr Joanne Lunn, the classes will be led by Waitrose Cookery School chefs who will be sharing first meal recipes. They will also be discussing their own personal experiences of weaning their children.

Jessica Wooldrige, Waitrose Cookery School chef, said: “We’re really excited to be offering baby weaning classes for the first time at the Waitrose Cookery School.  Without the opportunity to meet with friends to compare notes, we hope our classes will give parents the chance to come together virtually to talk, share experiences and learn how to create some delicious and nutritious recipes for their babies as they transition to solids.”

Lunn added: “I’ll be offering nutritional guidance and tips to help make sure babies’ nutritional needs are met as they make this exciting step in their development.”

Running throughout March, the classes will last either 60 or 90 minutes and will be priced at £10.
