Nisa retailers hit Magic Bag milestone with Too Good To Go

Nisa’s independent retailers have reached a new milestone through their relationship with surplus food app Too Good To Go with more than 100,000 meals now saved since the tie-up started in 2019.

With 300 stores now signed up to the app, Nisa said the latest figure equates to a saving of 250 tonnes of Co2e.

Every week well over 1,000 meals are saved across Nisa stores and recent figures have shown that more than 1,300 are being saved weekly.

Ian Bacon, Nisa’s lead for the partnership with Too Good To Go, said: “Every Nisa store that has so far partnered with Too Good To Go have given positive feedback about how simple the app is to use and the impact on the local community. We are all very aware of the cost-of-living crisis and the Too Good To Go app is one way that Nisa retailers can offer support to their shoppers really effectively.”
