Irwin Mitchell named one of the Top 25 Best Places To Work in the UK 2024

Annual Great Place To Work survey sees Irwin Mitchell retain its status as highest ranked law firm in super large category.

Special recognition for firm being One Of UK’s Best Workplaces five consecutive years.

The publication of the best places to work in the UK by the Great Place To Work Institute has seen Irwin Mitchell maintain its ranking in the best places to work list for 2024.

Conceived by the Great Place To Work Institute, the UK’s Best Workplaces Rankings are determined by anonymous surveys of employees, which allow the consultancy to discover the real views of staff when it comes to the places where they work.

For 30 years, Great Place to Work has been the world’s leading authority on workplace culture. Irwin Mitchell has consistently featured in the top 25 firms in the super large category, the only law firm to rank so high. The firm was placed 24th and received special recognition this year for being one of the UK’s Best Workplaces five years’ running.

The firm has continued to make improvements to its working practices in pursuit of staff wellbeing, which includes its ‘flexible by choice’ initiative, allowing colleagues to work where they wish, subject to client need; plus improving diversity and inclusion and an emphasis on improving work/life balance for all employees.

Susana Berlevy, Group Chief People Officer at Irwin Mitchell said: “The rankings for the UK’s best workplaces are always eagerly anticipated and it means so much to see Irwin Mitchell continue to retain our place among the organisations judged great places to work.

“That these rankings are based on the views of employees makes them something all at Irwin Mitchell can be justly proud of and while a cause for celebration, we will continue to do all we can to improve on our performance over the coming years.

“To consistently be one of the UK’s best places to work five years in a row is a major achievement but there’s always more to do to make Irwin Mitchell a great place to work. With our focus on diversity and inclusion, we have a firm foundation on which everyone who joins us has the best environment in which to thrive and deliver the best for themselves and our clients.”

Earlier this month, Irwin Mitchell was again recognised as one of the best firms in the country for undergraduate placements at the 2024 Rate My Placement Awards. The firm boasts an apprenticeship completion rate of 84% versus 53.4% nationally and is the number one law firm with the highest number of apprentices (December 2022).
