Frive appoints new chairman
The Frive chef-prepared meal prep service has appointed Andy Richardson as its new chairman.
With decades of leadership experience across both industry and government, Richardson has held a number of influential advisory roles to government, including chair of the Food & Drink Industry Board in Wales. He has also served as a member of the UK Government Strategy Trade Advisory Group and DEFRA’s Food & Drink Sector Council, as well as the Food & Drink Export Council.
Most recently, Richardson made the King’s Birthday Honours List 2025 and was awarded an MBE for services to the food and drink sector.
In his new role, he will work closely with Frive’s board and the company’s founder and chief executive, George Taylor, to ensure strong governance, strategy and profile development as the company embarks on its next phase of growth.
Taylor said: “We’re delighted to welcome Andy into the Frive fold, and at such an exciting time, as the business seeks to scale its mission to make healthy eating effortless, whilst restoring food to its natural form.
“With stellar industry experience and an expert understanding of the challenges a business like ours will face, Andy has the perfect profile for this role, and I look forward to collaborating with him to set strategic direction for Frive’s next chapter.”
