Asda expands rapid delivery partnership
Asda has announced that it is expanding its rapid delivery partnership with Uber Direct.
The supermarket said the move will enable it to increase the number of locations offering Asda’s Express Delivery service in as little as one hour. It is also enabling Asda to fulfil large basket orders nationwide, allowing customers to use the on-demand offering for their weekly grocery shop.
Uber Direct and Asda have partnered together since 2021, when the retailer first launched its on-demand proposition.
The service originally enabled orders to be delivered from approximately 300 superstores across the UK, and this was expanded to 10 new superstore locations in the second half of 2025. Asda will now expand the proposition to more locations in 2026.
Barney Burgess, VP of online at Asda, said: “Express Delivery has proven particularly popular with our customers, enabling them to have their everyday essentials delivered within hours of placing an order.
“Uber Direct’s strong performance and reliable service has been vital in helping us to grow the service to date.
“We are excited to continue growing our partnership with Uber Direct and to keep delivering an exceptional and convenient service to our customers”.
