Under Armour announces senior leadership appointments

Under Armour has announced a series of senior leadership appointments to accelerate its transformation.

The company has appointed Kara Trent as chief merchandising officer to lead category management and go-to-market initiatives. This will include overseeing product line architecture, assortment planning, and channel segmentation to drive end-to-end category performance across the brand’s full portfolio.

Trent has worked with Under Armour for over ten years and most recently served as president of Americas where she led the company’s largest region. Prior to that, she was the brand’s managing director for EMEA and also worked in senior roles at Puma North America.

She has been succeeded as president of Americas by Adam Peake, who will lead Under Armour’s business across North and South America, overseeing marketplace strategy, distribution, and omnichannel growth.

With more than 25 years of leadership experience, Peake has worked for 16 years at Under Armour in senior roles spanning US sales, global marketing, footwear, and sport category leadership.

Meanwhile, Yassine Saidi will transition from his role as chief product officer and general manager to senior advisor, design and expression. Since joining Under Armour in 2024, he has been instrumental in evolving the brand’s design language, refining its aesthetic vision, and elevating performance expression across products and platforms.

Kevin Plank, Under Armour president and chief executive officer, said: “Our transformation is gaining momentum as we take deliberate actions to sharpen our focus, strengthen our operational rigor, and elevate how we serve athletes,.

“These moves bring clarity, cohesion, and energy to the work ahead. I’m confident in the leadership we’re putting in place and inspired by the path we’re building together.”

The new roles are effective from 2 February.
