Temperley London names new CEO and design director ahead of September collection
The Temperley London fashion brand has appointed Morgaine McGee as chief executive and Jack Isenberg as design director as it prepares to present its new collection in September.
The news follows the company’s announcement earlier this month that Alice Temperley would be stepping away from the company she founded in 2000.
Subscribe to TRBWith more than two decades of global fashion industry experience, McGee (pictured left) has led design, product development, production and operations for various global brands, including as co-chief executive of The Vertical Collective and managing director of Signal Brands.
McGee said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for Temperley London as we bring a fresh perspective to the brand, while honouring its legacy, our rich British heritage as well as our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
“The brand has created timeless pieces, beautifully created to celebrate women and the moments that shape their lives. I am aware of that history, what people expect of the brand and will work to ensure that continues.”
Meanwhile, Isenberg (pictured right) was previously head designer at Tom Ford after building a career across luxury and couture brands.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins, he started his career at Valentino then held senior design roles at Giambattista Valli, where he was head designer, and at Versace and Nina Ricci. His career has also included stints as head designer at Ralph & Russo and design director at Jenny Packham.
Isenberg said: “What drew me to this house is its commitment to craft. The embroidery, the finishing. These are things that can only be done by people who know how. It has been great to start working with the talented team here and continuing to bring the quality and craftsmanship that women across the world have come to expect from Temperley London.”
