Sosandar appoints finance director

Online fashion retailer Sosandar has appointed Stephen Dilks as finance director.

He will succeed James Bowling who has decided to step down from his head of finance role to pursue other opportunities.

Dilks has spent the last 11 years working with the Regatta outdoor apparel retailer where his most recent role was  finance director. During his time with the company, he has helped it to achieve double-digit growth and been the finance lead for Brexit planning and the implementation of new IT systems.

Prior to Regatta, he worked with Craghoppers, Twyford Bathrooms, Kraft Foods and The Co-Operative Group.

Due to join Sosandar on 7 September, Dilks is also expected to be appointed to the company’s board once he has settled in to his new role.

Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, Sosandar joint chief executives, said: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Stephen to the company, his extensive knowledge of finance and operations in a growing retail brand will be invaluable through our journey ahead. Notwithstanding the current environment, the opportunity for Sosandar is significant. With his experience across brands and markets, Stephen is well placed to work alongside us to deliver continued growth and shareholder value going forward.”

Bowling will remain with the business until 18 September to ensure an orderly handover.

Hall and Lavington added: “James has been an integral part of Sosandar’s journey so far, both in the early days, through our listing and our tremendous growth and development since. We are incredibly grateful for all the hard work he put into the business and take this opportunity to wish him well in his future endeavours.”
