PUMA appoints Lionel Telega as general manager of Sportstyle
Sportswear brand PUMA has appointed Lionel Telega as the new general manager of Sportstyle with immediate effect.
Sportstyle is the company’s biggest business unit.
A French national, Telega has worked with PUMA since 2004 and most recently held the position of global director go-to-market. Prior to that, he worked for Salomon and Porsche.
Telega has succeeded Maria Valdes who was appointed as PUMA’s chief product officer and member of the board of management in January 2023. He now repots to Valdes in his new role.
Valdes said: “We are fully convinced that Lionel’s strong commercial background and valuable experience will contribute to further enhance Sportstyle as our largest growing business unit. I wish him all the best in his new position.”
