Online underwear retailer Lounge to open pop-up shop in Manchester

UK-owned online lingerie brand Lounge is opening its first-ever Manchester-based retail pop up space in February.

The opening marks Lounge’s second retail pop-up and their first in the northern city. Shoppers can try on the predominantly online underwear brand and be accurately measured for their sizes too.

The pop up in Kings Street will include a luxury fitting room experience including a ‘styling station’.

The Retail Bulletin spoke to Melanie Marsden, Lounge Co-Founder on opening the pop up.

“Testing the pop-up space is a really exciting time for the brand. It’s all about testing the appetite that a high street shopping consumer has for our product, giving them an in-person experience that can in many ways go beyond what they may have felt or experienced through our digital platforms, and most importantly, giving the beauty and premium details of our designs a space to really scream and shout in an in real life space.”

“Underwear is an extremely personal part of a woman’s wardrobe, so giving them a personal experience, the chance to touch and feel the product and find their fit in person is a no-brainer for us.”

As part of our retail pop up, Lounge we will be running two exclusive events:

The Lounge Lock In with a pick up bus on the 7th February:  A  late night unique and fun shopping experience for students complete with a hop on the Lounge ‘pick-up bus’. Students will be transported from nearby campus’ to the store on the double-decker. When arriving at our ‘lock in’ at the event, students will have access to an exclusive 20% student discount, an expert fitting service, a DJ and a free drink on the door.

The Hook-up with Thursday on 9th February:  Lounge are partnering with dating app Thursday to host a women’s only Thursday singles night in Manchester. It’s all about helping women feel comfortable and sexy, inside and out – and in the dating world. The evening will include a panel talk, music, drinks, an exclusive shopping experience and expert fitters on hand to help you find the perfect set.
