Moshulu launches new National Trust collection

British footwear brand Moshulu has unveiled a new limited edition, sustainable women’s footwear and accessory range in collaboration with Europe’s largest conservation charity, the National Trust.

Through sales of this National Trust footwear collection for Spring/Summer 2023, Moshulu will contribute a minimum of £10,000 to the National Trust. This will continue to support the charity’s work caring for over 780 miles of coastline in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, including iconic landmarks such as the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, through to stretches of land along the White Cliffs of Dover.

One of the initiatives that this collaboration has helped to support is the creation of a wildflower meadow at Wembury Point, benefitting the surrounding nature and resident wildlife.

The nine-part range is Devon-based Moshulu’s second collection with the charity; their most environmentally conscious products yet, they’ve used carefully selected sustainable materials such as recycled plastic bottle textile, responsibly sourced leather and recycled rubber soles.

For their latest collection, they have taken inspiration from the positive impact that spring has on the coastline by creating an exclusive print, hand drawn in house at Moshulu.

The print celebrates the importance of wildflowers and shells found along the coast in spring; adding colour to our landscapes, as well as providing crucial habitats and food for wildlife. The decorative print, scattered across classic deck shoes, stylish cork footbed sandals, cosy slippers and a beautiful, embroidered scarf, will enable wearers to feel connected to the coastline, whilst discovering these wonderful wildflowers and shells for themselves.

Kate James, Head of Marketing for Moshulu, says, “We’re thrilled to reveal our latest collection with the National Trust, which once again celebrates Britain’s coastline! We’ve loved working with the charity’s team and reinventing a selection of our bestselling summer styles in sustainable materials and gorgeous prints, whilst upholding what our customers value from us; comfort, colour and detail.

“Being a Devon-based brand, and with almost 60% of our stores within a half hour drive of the coast, we adore our beautiful seashores. That’s why it’s important for Moshulu to support a charity like the National Trust and donate 10% from every purchase of this gorgeous range to help fund their vital coastal conservation.”

Becky Stanford, Head of Brand Licensing for the National Trust, says, “This is our second collection with Moshulu highlighting the coastline in our care – and we are thrilled that our collaboration continues to be their most sustainable yet.

“Inspired by the wildflowers and shells that decorate our shores, Moshulu’s designs bring to life the importance of the coast – from its resident wildlife to the benefits to be reaped by visiting these beautiful landscapes. As Europe’s largest conservation charity, we are delighted that this collaboration encourages us to connect more with our coastline, especially throughout 2023 which is the Year of the Coast, and we look forward to further collections with Moshulu in the future”.

The collection will be available from 1 March 2023 online and in Moshulu stores.
