Michael Kors appoints new president of menswear

Luxury fashion brand Michael Kors has hired Andrea Pesaresi as president of its menswear business.

Due to take up his role on 15 October, Persaresi will report to John Idol, the company’s chairman and chief executive.

Pesaresi was previously chief executive of luxury sneaker brand Philippe Model. Prior to that, he worked for 25 years with Ermenegildo Zegna where his most recent role was brand director of Z Zegna and Licensing.

Commenting on the appointment, Idol said: “Andrea has been in the industry for 30 years and comes to us with extensive knowledge of the evolving luxury men’s marketplace. He will provide the necessary leadership to enable us to achieve our goal of developing the Michael Kors menswear business to $1 billion in revenue.”
