Marc O’Polo to expand online in further 18 countries

Marc O’Polo is to expand its global presence by launching its online shop in a further 18 countries.

In a statement, the fashion retailer said it is particularly looking to further develop its European business as well as focus on new markets such as the US and UK.

Maximilian Böck chief executive of Marc O’Polo, explained: “With our approach, which will initially focus on digital sales channels, we will further strengthen our profile as an international brand and make our collections accessible to many new customer groups for the first time. This big and exciting step is another milestone in our internationalisation strategy.”

Currently operating online shops in 23 countries, Marc O’Polo will launch sites in Denmark, Greece, Portugal, Norway, Iceland, Croatia, Serbia, the US, Canada, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Qatar, New Zealand, India, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. The roll-out will start in November.

The company has also revealed that it is considering further entry and expansion opportunities in the US and Europe, and will be expanding its online business in some countries via international fashion platforms such as Zalando and About You.
