John Lewis to launch biggest-ever fashion collaboration with British brand RIXO

John Lewis is to launch its biggest-ever fashion collaboration by bringing British brand RIXO to all of its stores, in a move designed to strengthen its premium fashion credentials.

The collection will feature an exclusive floral motif inspired by a block-printed textile from 1849, selected from The John Lewis Partnership Archive during the collaborative design process. Marking the first time an archive print has been used in a John Lewis fashion collaboration, the signature print will feature on two dresses, a blouse, a skirt and a scarf.

RIXO co-rounder Orlagh McCloskey said: “This collaboration feels like a true extension of RIXO – taking the heritage of John Lewis, leaning into its incredible archive, and bringing it to life with that RIXO magic.

“For me, if you’re going to do a collaboration, you have to do it properly. It should feel as strong, if not stronger, than anything you’ve created before – every piece considered, every detail cared for, and something you feel genuinely proud to put your name to.”

Due to launch on 22 October, the collection spans dresses, knitwear, blouses, jackets, skirts, scarves, shoes and bags, with some featuring new shapes and patterns available exclusively at John Lewis. Among them is the hero piece, The Vesper, a full-length dress finished with delicate cap sleeves and a ruffle neckline, in the archive print.

Rachel Morgans, fashion director at John Lewis, said: “RIXO is an iconic British brand adored by so many, much like John Lewis, so it felt natural to create something special together. We can’t wait to reveal the full collection to our customers later this year.”

The collection will be available in all John Lewis fashion stores and online with prices starting from £65.

In April, John Lewis announced that it was to launch its first Korean beauty shop-in-shop through a partnership with Skin Cupid.
