John Lewis teams up with Kidswear Collective to offer pre-loved childrenswear
John Lewis has teamed up with Kidswear Collective, the pre-loved and past season designer kidswear platform, on the opening of a dedicated space at its flagship shop on London’s Oxford Street.
The new concession in the retailer’s kids department will offer fashion for babies and children up to 12 years old. Items will have up to 60% off the original retail price and will include brands such as Gucci, Burberry, Stella McCartney and more. Prices start from £20.
Danielle Gagola, services and innovation lead at John Lewis, said: “Having seen tremendous success with our rental, circular and pre-loved collections and partnerships, we’re thrilled to continue to offer more sustainable shopping options for our customers.
“Our new partnership with Kidswear Collective reflects our commitment to develop responsible and accessible pre-loved fashion for our customers, and we look forward to seeing the collection in store.”
Having first launched exclusively online, Kidswear Collective began exploring department store partnerships to help remove the stigma of buying pre-loved kidswear.
The company’s founder Shoshana Kazab explained: “We are passionate about changing the perception of pre-loved fashion, and working with retailers like John Lewis is the perfect way to enable customers to engage with the garments firsthand and see the quality for themselves.
“We love the fact that customers at John Lewis can shop a ‘mixed’ wardrobe in-store which can include both in-season and pre-loved pieces.”
The range at John Lewis Oxford Street will include both pre-loved items, which have been selected to be in prime condition, as well as past season pieces.
John Lewis also offers a selection of pre-owned jewellery, bags and vintage accessories online for customers. In addition, customers can shop for pre-loved luxury fashion from Sign of the Times all year round in the John Lewis Oxford Street and Peter Jones stores.
