H&M to launch collection with John Boyega

H&M is to release a collaborative fashion collection with actor and producer John Boyega.

Edition by John Boyega will feature a range of autumn’s key looks with garments constructed from recycled, organic and innovative materials such as Vegea, a vegan alternative to leather, partly made from waste from the winemaking industry.

The collection will be launched online and in selected stores on 28 October.

Ross Lydon, head of menswear design at H&M, said: “John Boyega is a brave leader of a generation that’s speaking up for change, believing there’s a better way to treat each other and the planet. H&M is proud to team up with John for Edition by John Boyega, a contemporary, more sustainable collection for men.”

The range includes a chore jacket with a patchwork denim design made from collected denim garments that have been remade into a contemporary style. Other garments include a striking checked coat partly made from premium Italian recycled wool, an organic cotton striped shirt, a zip-off puffer jacket, a green cardigan, a yellow roll neck and trousers. Meanwhile, a pink tie-dye sweatshirt and range of T-shirts are emblazoned with the slogan “A better present leads to a better future”.
