H&M and Wardrobe.NYC to launch designer collaboration on 6 August
H&M is set to launch a new designer collaboration next month with New York based luxury essentials brand Wardrobe.NYC.
The fashion retailer said the collection will include “impeccably cut tailoring in a timeless palette,” with items spanning wool coats, blazers, and tailored skirts, as well as casual items such as washed denim, padded bombers, hoodies, and fluid drawstring trousers.
It will also include a range of versatile layering pieces serving as a wardrobe’s staple items.
Centenera said. “What we wanted, above all, was for all these pieces to become staples. You’re building the base of a wardrobe and mixing it back in- with things you already own and with pieces from the collection itself. That versatility was always the goal.”
The collection will launch in selected H&M stores and online at hm.com on 6 August.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of design womenswear at H&M, said: “The way every shape is so well considered — you can really feel how it will be to wear one of these garments just by looking at it. These are pieces that will be in your wardrobe for a long time.”
H&M has also recently launched a second collaboration with British fashion designer Stella McCartney.
