Flannels opens first store in Ireland at Dublin’s Blanchardstown

Luxury fashion retailer Flannels has opened its first store in the Republic of Ireland at Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin.

The retailer has taken 30,000 square feet of space in a former Debenhams unit on the ground floor of the scheme.

Part of Frasers Group, Flannels sells a range of designer clothing, accessories and footwear for men, women and children from labels such as Burberry, Creed, Versace, Stone Island and Tom Ford.

The retailer now has over 60 shops in the UK and Ireland.

David Epstein, managing director, luxury and premium for Frasers Group, said: “Flannels Blanchardstown marks an exciting moment for the business, as we continue to expand our presence and store proposition across the UK & Europe. We have ambitious plans, and with each new store opening, we bring modern and engaging retail destinations to new consumers – cementing Flannels as the go-to destination for new luxury.”

The opening follows the recent launch of Zara’s biggest store in Ireland at Blanchardstown. The centre is Dublin’s largest retail and leisure destination with a square footage of over 1.1 million and annual footfall of 16 million.

Pat Nash, managing director at Falcon AM, asset managers for Blanchardstown Centre, said: “The luxury offer at Flannels will further diversify our fashion line-up here at Blanchardstown – broadening appeal significantly and speaking directly to demand from our catchment.

“The news closely follows a host of other signings and openings – reflecting the success of investment in the centre over recent months, in attracting premium brands that drive footfall and really enhance visitor choice.

“This opening is a great way to round off what has been a strong year for the centre. Confidence remains across the Irish retail market in the run up to Christmas, and we look forward to giving further positive updates in the new year.”
