Dunhill hires Matthew Ives as chief executive
The Dunhill luxury menswear brand has appointed Matthew Ives as its new chief executive officer.
Due to take up his role on 13 October, he will report to Philippe Fortunato, chief executive of parent company Richemont’s fashion and accessory houses.
A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Ives has been working for the last three years as chief commercial officer at De Beers London.
Having begun his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Co, he subsequently spent over ten years at Richemont in senior leadership roles at Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Fortunato added: “Matthew’s deep knowledge of both the luxury industry and Richemont will be invaluable in leading Dunhill into its next chapter. I would also like to warmly thank Andrew Holmes, Dunhill’s chief operating and financial officer, for serving as CEO ad interim since early 2024.”
Last month, Dunhill announced that it had launched in the Middle East with the opening of a boutique in Dubai Mall.
