House of Fraser appoints new chief marketing officer

Department store chain House of Fraser has appointed Paddy Earnshaw as its chief marketing officer.

Due to join the business on 30 October, Earnshaw has been working as chief customer officer at Doddle for the past three years.

He started his career at Travelex as UK retail marketing manager before taking on the role of group head of marketing and communications. He was subsequently appointed to the position of customer director. His career also includes a number of senior marketing positions at Worldpay.

Alex Williamson, House of Fraser chief executive, said: “Paddy brings a wealth of digital, retail and online experience to House of Fraser and is one of the brightest, most innovative marketeers in our sector with a strong track record of delivering results at pace. He has always shown a real focus on customers in his previous roles and will bring a huge amount to our overall customer proposition.”

At House of Fraser Earnshaw will be responsible for all marketing, both online and offline, and will be instrumental in the ongoing development of the company’s online offering. He will report directly to Williamson.

Williamson added: “Paddy has worked in entrepreneurial environments throughout his career with significant competition for every customer, where both detail and creativity are vital. With his strong skills and experience, Paddy will be a valuable asset to our transformation programme.”
