Quintain announces new restaurants at London Designer Outlet

Quintain Estates and Development has announced today that Latin American restaurant chain Las Iguanas has signed at London Designer Outlet (LDO), Wembley.

Las Iguanas will open its 30th UK restaurant at Wembley. The independent Bristol-based chain has signed a 20 year lease for 4590 sq ft and is due to open in 2013.

It will join American restaurant chain T.G.I Friday’s, which signed a 25 year lease for 8740 sq ft earlier this year. The restaurant is now open and trading directly opposite the iconic Wembley Stadium.

Quintain has already secured a host of F&B brands at LDO, including Prezzo and Handmade Burger. The centre, which is split over three levels, will comprise 15 bars and restaurants alongside 85 retail units.

Phil Cottingham, Head of Retail at Quintain, said,”It is great news to have strong brands such as Las Iguanas on board at LDO, and very encouraging that more than a year ahead of the launch T.G.I Friday’s is open and trading very well. These latest deals underline that LDO will be a departure from the traditional outlet centre, with a strong leisure and lifestyle offer alongside the retail. As well as the cinema, bars and restaurants the site boasts a new four-star hotel, and is sandwiched between Wembley Stadium and Arena, so will benefit from a high level of footfall.”

LDO is the major retail and leisure element of Quintain’s 85-acre landmark regeneration project that is transforming the land surrounding Wembley Stadium and Arena. It will be the only designer outlet within the M25 and will be the nearest outlet centre for 5.8 million people.
