Sara Stern, director of beauty at Debenhams said, “The ladies of Liverpool are always odds on favourite for getting glammed up and with all this Aintree effort they must be a sure thing in the glamour stakes. Our beauty counters have been inundated with customers eager to pip other race goers to the post, with our deepest tan products and longest lashes the first to fly off the shelves”.

Emma Owen, marketing and PR manager at Aintree Racecourse, said: “We’re not at all surprised to hear that sales of beauty products have gone through the roof ahead of Ladies' Day at the Grand National. The Festival attracts lots of stunning girls who always go to a lot of effort to look their best for the North West's biggest social day out”.
