Cath Kidston hires new chief executive
Lifestyle brand Cath Kidston has appointed Melinda Paraie as its new chief executive.
US based Paraie will move to London and work from Cath Kidston’s west London headquarters after she takes up her role on 18 June.
She is currently chief merchandising officer at John Hardy, the New-York based jewellery company. Previous positions include roles at retailers such as Coach, J.Crew, Gap, Barneys and Express.
In her new position, Paraie will work closely alongside William Flanz, chairman of Cath Kidston, and Marty Wikstrom, a non-executive director. She will also work through a handover period with the company’s outgoing chief executive, Kenny Wilson.
Flanz said: "Melinda creates consumer-centric models, and builds brands that fully integrate product development, marketing, stores and digital, bringing life and energy to the customer experience. She will take Cath Kidston on the next stage of its successful journey and I am delighted that she has agreed to move to London to do this."
