Laura James to open new operations facility in Rugby with the creation of 200 jobs
Interiors retailer Laura James is to open a new operational facility, photography studio and showroom in Rugby.
Representing one of the largest investments in the company’s history, the space at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) will create an estimated 200 jobs within the next 18 months with opportunities in operations, customer service, project delivery and support.

The investment will also include the introduction of a new fleet of vans to enable the company to offer UK customers an in-house delivery service.
Matthew Talbot, chief executive of Laura James, said: “This is an incredibly exciting chapter for Laura James. Our new home at DIRFT provides the space, facilities and infrastructure needed to support the next phase of our journey.
“It’s a significant investment of over £4 million in operational fit out and delivery fleet in both our business and the Rugby area, creating opportunities for growth, eployment and innovation.”
