B&Q appoints Sophie Taylor as director of marketing

B&Q has promoted Sophie Taylor to the position of director of marketing following a two year tenure as its head of content, social and PR.

Prior to B&Q, she worked with Mamas & Papas for over four years where her most recent role was head of brand communications.

She has also previously held senior marketing roles at Sugarman Group, Ark Home Healthcare and British Land.

At B&Q she has replaced Tom Hampson who has left the business to join Asda.

Katherine Paterson, marketing director at B&Q, said: “Sophie is an outstanding marketing leader with a proven ability to build brands, connect with customers and deliver commercial results.

“Over the past two years at B&Q, she has already made a significant impact across content, social and PR, helping to strengthen our brand authority and grow engagement at scale.

“I’m delighted she will be joining our leadership team as director of marketing, and I look forward to seeing her continue to drive the brand forward.”
