Waitrose Cellar launches click & collect service

Waitrose has launched a click and collect service for its online wine website waitrosecellar.com.

The new service will enable customers to pick up their purchases from over 300 Waitrose branches.  Orders placed before 7pm will be available for free collection from a customer’s chosen branch after 2pm the following day.

Robert McCarthy, head of Waitrose Cellar, said: “Click & Collect is a very popular shopping option and that is set to grow and grow, and over time we’re expecting up to 50% of orders to be for collection from store. We are delighted to be rolling out Click & Collect for waitrosecellar.com and in the run up to Christmas this will be a convenient and time-saving solution for our customers to buy their wine.”

Launched in May this year, Waitrose Cellar offers 1,200 wines and champagnes as well as spirits and single bottle gifts.
