The Entertainer to open new concept store at Bluewater

The Entertainer is to open a new concept store at Kent’s Bluewater shopping centre this weekend.

The shop will replace the retailer’s current smaller store at the scheme from where it has traded since 2011.

Spanning 3,000 square feet, it will offer The Entertainer’s range of toys and games, including brands such as LEGO, Tonies, Barbie, Gabby’s Doll House, Hot Wheels, Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol, as well as Early Learning Centre and Addo private label ranges.

The retailer has also revealed that the store will be home to one of only ten Pop Mart vending machines in the UK, where customers will be able to shop for “blind box” toys.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

In addition, the shop will include a newly custom-designed sensory play wall to encourage children to explore textures, sounds, and movement through interactive games and activities that support sensory development.”

The announcement follows recent news that The Entertainer has been rolling out the convenience store version of its ToyBox concession format across more than 2,000 Tesco Express stores.

Andrew Murphy OBE, group chief executive of The Entertainer, said: “Our latest store opening completes an exciting month for The Entertainer, in which we’ve announced our biggest ever price drop – across almost 800 toys – and significantly expanded our successful partnership with Tesco.

“We can’t wait to welcome customers to our new Bluewater store – the first of what could be as many as eight new store openings in 2025 – and to offering Kent’s toy lovers the very best prices in the mall.”
