Sainsbury’s Bank launches new pet insurance products

Sainsbury’s Bank is launching a new range of pet insurance products and services.

Underwritten by Cardif Pinnacle, the insurance products will include both lifetime and time-limited cover to cater for the needs of different breeds of cats and dogs.

Insurance product customers will  also have access to a dedicated 24-hour veterinary nurse line that is open seven days a week, including Bank Holidays. The nurses will provide  on-the-spot advice about a pet’s condition. In addition, customers will be able to use the Sainsbury’s My Pet Portal which will contain all of their policy information.

Karen Hogg, head of pet insurance at Sainsbury’s Bank, said: “We have listened to our pet owning customers to understand exactly what they want from their pet insurance.   Our new policies provide different types of cover so owners can opt for the product that best suits them and their pet.”
