Beale warns of year end shortfall

Beale PLC has warned its performance for the current year is likely to fall ‘slightly short’ of market expectations due to tough trading during the autumn-winter season in 2006.

Total sales for the 20 weeks to March 17 were down 4.0 per cent, while like-for-like sales fell 3.3 per cent compared to last year. The Group said it had suffered significant disruption in both the Bournemouth and Poole stores last year due to refurbishment
