Sainsbury’s launches half-price Nectar Prices on fruit and veg for Bank Holiday
Sainsbury’s is offering half price Nectar Prices on selected fruit and vegetables over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The deal includes items such as sweetcorn, peppers and mushrooms. baby potatoes and mangoes.
Subscribe to TRBRunning from 28 to 31 August, the promotion is the first of four consecutive weekend Nectar Prices events running through late August and September.
Richard Crampton, commercial director, fresh and convenience at Sainsbury’s, said: “We know customers are looking for great value without compromising on the quality of the food they bring home.
“That’s why we’re offering half-price Nectar Prices on selected fruit and vegetables, making it easier to put fresh, nutritious food on the table over the Bank Holiday weekend and beyond.”
Earlier this week, Morrisons announced a price match promise that guaranteed its ‘Unbeatable Prices’ would not be bettered by those at Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Asda.
It said the commitment covers over 500 weekly essentials, with prices the same or lower than those offered by its major competitors.
