Pret to trial meal deal formats
Pret A Manger is to trial a range of new meal deal formats in the fourth quarter of 2025 as it looks to drive growth in the UK.
It will also be investing further in food innovation following the successful introduction of its Super Plates salad offering in the UK in July.
Subscribe to TRBPret has also announced that worldwide system sales across company-owned and franchise shops climbed by 10% to £1.2 billion in 2024, with like-for-like sales increasing by 2.8%.
Meanwhile, pre-IFRS16 adjusted EBITDA grew by 36% to £98 million.
Pano Christou, chief executive of Pret A Manger, said: “2024 was another year of growth for Pret, where we took disciplined decisions to protect sales, despite intense strains on the hospitality industry.”
Looking ahead, Pret said it is working in line with a new medium-term strategy to deliver sustainable growth following recent changes to its board and management team, including the appointment of José Cil as chairman.
Christou said: “Going forward our priority will be to drive transactions and sustainable growth by offering great value for money for Pret customers.
“Our focus will be on growing Pret’s market share in the UK and internationally, prioritising city centres and travel hubs, backed by the experience and expertise of additional world-class board members and a strengthened management team.”
