Cornish Bakery to launch three new sites as part of UK expansion
Cornish Bakery is to launch three new bakeries in Hereford, Woodbridge and Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays next month.
The move forms part of the retailer’s plans to expand from its current 66 sites to a potential 411 locations across the UK.
Cornish Bakery will also be more than doubling the size of its York Coney Street location following the takeover of an adjacent unit previously occupied by Krispy Kreme.
The retailer currently has another five new properties that it is working to acquire, which will be announced soon.
Cornish Bakery managing director Mat Finch said: “It’s already set to be an incredible year for Cornish Bakery with us proving our mantra of ‘bakery is the new coffee shop’ right across the country.
“We’re very excited to bring our beautifully designed spaces, high-quality products and exceptional coffee to even more UK high streets and shopping outlets and expanding some bakeries whilst planning the design of our biggest-ever property in Portsmouth.”
Earlier this month, Cornish Bakery announced the appointment of its first property director to spearhead its expansion.
