Clintons launches own chocolate brand

Greeting card and gift retailer Clintons has launched its own luxury brand of chocolate to boost its entrance into the chocolate market.

Called Cocoa Paradise, the premium bars are available exclusively in Clintons’ 400 stores across the UK.

Clintons said the new venture is part of its plans to expand its confectionery range and capitalise on a growing chocolate market.

The 100g bars are made from cocoa beans sourced from farms around the world including Madagascar, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador. As well as Cocoa Paradise, Clintons stocks an array of boxed chocolate, including Ferrero Rocher, Lindt and Thorntons.

Cocoa Paradise is available in 12 different varieties with the bars priced at £1.99 when customers purchase a greetings card or £3 when they buy them individually.

Tim Fairs, VP marketing & ecommerce at Clinton Cards, said: “Our Cocoa Paradise brand is unique in its taste and its packaging, offering customers high quality chocolate, globally sourced, with an exciting variety of flavours to suit all tastes. It’s a perfect fit with our greetings range and expands our brand in parallel with our popular sweet shop.”
