British Corner Shop reports 25% growth

British Corner Shop has reported 25% growth over the last year and said its trading has not been affected by no deal Brexit fears.

Established in 1999, the company now delivers over 13,000 UK brands to 196 countries worldwide through its B2C and B2B services.

Mark Callaghan, managing director of British Corner Shop, said: “There’s been no indication that the current Brexit landscape has affected our operations. British food produce does and always will hold a sense of trust and quality around it, which is why it’s seen as aspirational in other countries.”

The company said confectionery is its most popular category after having shipped around 207,000 tins of popular British chocolate so far this year. Categories growing in popularity include vegan foods and free-from products.

Speaking about Brexit, British Corner Shop said it is preparing contingency plans for any impact on the size of its labour force by introducing automatic robotic picking systems.
