John Lewis head of women’s brands and own label steps down

The head of women’s brands and own label at John Lewis is stepping down after three and a half years in the role.

Claire Miles joined the retailer in June 2022 after working as head of buying and development at Mint Velvet for nearly two years. Earlier in her career, she held senior positions at The Shop at Bluebird, ASOS and Internacionale Retail. She has also previously worked with New Look in buying roles.

In a post on LinkedIn, Miles said: “John Lewis is an organisation defined by its values, and leading and contributing within that environment has shaped how I think about people, performance, and long-term impact. I leave with enormous respect for the talent across the business and appreciation for those who supported and collaborated with me along the way to achieve great things.

“Personal highlights being the launch of two amazing collaborations, Awake Mode and Rejina Pyo, elevating the John Lewis proposition and working with the best premium and global fashion brands.”
